Major CJ Wallace, CD, BA, BAS, plsc Canadian Army retired, 1976 – 2000

CJ was commissioned from the ranks as an infantry cpl to infantry officer. Reclassified to intelligence officer and became the Army Chief Interrogator. Medically released due to wounds. Retired as major.

CJ joined the Clan Wallace Society in 2011.

Capt John R. Wallace, USCG Retired

Captain John Robert Wallace, US Coast Guard, proudly served thirty two years, from 1957 until 1989, and is now enjoying retirement in Walterboro, SC.

A US Coast Guard Academy Graduate and University of Illinois Graduate, John served 4 Tours in Southeast Asia, (3 in Vietnam 1969-1972).  After that the majority of his career was served as a Civil Engineering Officer, including two major command appointments.

As a Clan Wallace Society member, he served 15 years on the Board of Directors as well as 3 years as the society President.

Ron Heacock, US Army, 1966 – 1974

Ron served in the US Army’s Special Forces Airborne division from 1966 to 1974 and left active duty as a Sergeant First Class.

Ron joined the Clan Wallace Society in 2004 and currently serves as a Director for the society.

Scott Wallace, USN, 1989 – 2001

Scott Wallace joined the US Navy right out of high school in 1989, entering into the Navy Nuclear Power program.  In 1993 he reported to the USS John F Kennedy CV-67, serving five years in the ship’s main propulsion division.  Follow on duty assignments included NAS Cecil Field and SIMA Mayport following a short period on medical hold.  Scott separated from active duty in August 2001 as a Machinist Mate 1st Class.

Scott joined the Clan Wallace Society in 2016 and currently is the society’s webmaster.

Bill Wallace, US Army 1968 – 1972

Bill Wallace served 4 years in the U.S. Army as a Teletype Communications Specialist for the Army Security Agency from September 1968 until March 1972. After serving back to back tours in Vietnam, Bill finished out the remainder of his service at Agency Headquarters in Arlington Va.

Bill is currently in the process of publishing a book which is a collection of experiences and stories of his time in the Army and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Bill had been a member of the Clan Wallace Society since 2004 and is a current Director for the society.

MSGT Ben R. Howard, USAF Retired

The son of a career U.S. Army man, Ben was born in Talladega, Alabama and is a lifetime member of Clan Wallace through his great-grandmother Bertha Wallace Howard.

He enlisted in the United States Air Force on 12 July 1961, serving on Air Force bases from Kansas to New York, New Hampshire, California and Arizona.    Additionally, he served overseas in the Philippine Islands, Guam, Okinawa, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Ben attended Auburn University Alabama for two years prior to enlisting in the Air Force.  He has two AA degrees in Aircraft Maintenance and Instructor of Technology, a BA in Management, and an MA in Public Administration from Golden Gate University.

Beginning as a reciprocating engine mechanic, he later cross trained into jet engines; became a Quality Control Inspector and spent the last four years of his career as a Field Training Master Instructor, retiring from active duty at Williams Air Force Base in August, 1981, as a Master Sergeant.

As a civilian, Ben worked for Garrett Turbine Engine Company for one year and from there returned as a Civil Service employee to Williams Air Force Base in 1982.  Upon Williams closing in August 1992, Ben transferred to Luke Air Force Base, Arizona where he retired as Chief of Resources, GS-12, for the 56th Civil Engineering Squadron in March, 2007.

Ben loves all things Scottish and loves Aviation History and Military History.  He loves to read and enjoys travelling.  He is a life time member of the Scottish American Military Society (SAMS) and for three years, served as Commander of the SAMS Color Guard.  Ben has also been member of the Clan Wallace Society since 1996.

Ben enjoys spending time with the love of his life, Kathy.   They share 6 children, 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

P1180873Megan is the granddaughter of Russ and Marcia Harper and currently is serving on active duty at Fort Sam Houston, TX.
