The Scotland County Highland Games (NC) was held on October 7, 2017. These games are held at John Blue House in Laurinburg, North Carolina.\u00a0 Rain, Rain go away come again another day greeted the twenty clan tents participating and Clan Wallace was among them.\u00a0 Other participants included the SAMS (Scottish American Military Society), Council of Scottish Clans and Associations, Scottish Heritage USA, and St. Andrews Society of North Carolina.<\/p>\n
The parade of tartans was held at eleven thirty after open ceremonies .Clan Wallace waited patiently in the light misty rain<\/p>\n
The entertainment included Colin Grant Adams, and Belles on Strings.\u00a0 Thirty nine pipe bands competed.\u00a0 The Games included heavy athletics, \u00a0Border Collies, and Children events.<\/p>\n
Special thanks to Frank Randall and all of the rest of the folks that came by the Wallace tent to make the day so special. You are the reason we are here in the rain.<\/p>\n
