With two beautiful SoCal days, Scottish Fest 2017 was not left wanting.<\/p>\n<p>Salute to Veterans services were held on both Saturday and Sunday. A tribute to those who serve and remembrance of those who are no longer with us. Performances from the <em>Third Marine Aircraft Wing Band<\/em>, <em>Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes and Drums<\/em>, and <em>Los Angeles Fifes and Drum<\/em> were the highpoints the services.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_736\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-736\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/clanwallace.org\/cw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/san-diego-2017d.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-736\" src=\"http:\/\/clanwallace.org\/cw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/san-diego-2017d-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clanwallace.org\/cw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/san-diego-2017d-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/clanwallace.org\/cw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/san-diego-2017d.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-736\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Convened by Greg Wallace (right), Kevin Michaels (left) and Elaine Ries<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Some highlights of the festival\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approximately 15,000 visitors<\/li>\n<li>Over sixty clan booths.<\/li>\n<li>Eighteen Pipe Bands competed in eight categories.<\/li>\n<li>Athletic competition managed by the Scottish American Athletic Association, SAAA.<\/li>\n<li>Musical entertainment by Bad Haggis featuring Eric Rigler, Highland Way, The Ploughboys, and the Wicked Tinkers.<\/li>\n<li>Shows by the Royal Scottish Country Dances, and Christopher Yates.<\/li>\n<li>Vintage British Car show.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/clanwallace.org\/cw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/scotfest-2017d.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-745\" src=\"http:\/\/clanwallace.org\/cw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/scotfest-2017d-169x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clanwallace.org\/cw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/scotfest-2017d-169x300.jpg 169w, https:\/\/clanwallace.org\/cw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/scotfest-2017d-576x1024.jpg 576w, https:\/\/clanwallace.org\/cw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/scotfest-2017d.jpg 589w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 169px) 100vw, 169px\" \/><\/a>Over 100 vendors in four different vendor areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Clan Wallace Booth<\/p>\n<p>The booth was located at the main event entrance which provided easy access for over 100 visitors.
