Roger William Wallace was born on June 14, 1923 in Las Vegas, New Mexico and passed\u00a0away on December 19, 2010 in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area. \u00a0The family of Roger\u00a0thanks their many friends and relatives whose sympathy and thoughtfulness will always be\u00a0remembered and deeply appreciated.<\/p>\n
“I have known Roger and his family since 1996. \u00a0He was very proud of his Scottish heritage. His\u00a0grandfather emigrated to New Mexico from Scotland. \u00a0He was proud of his family and\u00a0especially his daughters, Sandra and Patricia.<\/p>\n
Roger was a Director of the Clan Wallace Society 2000\u2013 2002. \u00a0He was very appreciative of\u00a0the policy which allowed anyone with an interest in Scottish history, it\u2019s influence on America,\u00a0and a belief in the principles of this society to become a member. He enrolled many members\u00a0of his family as Council Members.<\/p>\n
Roger served for 5 years in the European Theater during WW II. \u00a0He was a truck driver and\u00a0participated in the \u201cRed Ball Express.\u201d \u00a0After the war he was an organizer for the Teamsters\u00a0Union. \u00a0He started in the Western Conference and then was promoted to Director\u2014Food\u00a0Processing and Cannery Central Division. \u00a0He remained a consultant for the Teamsters Union\u00a0after his retirement.<\/p>\n
He is missed by all who knew him. \u00a0Although his health prevented him from traveling to games\u00a0the past few years, he remained an enthusiastic supporter of the activities of Clan Wallace\u00a0Society (Worldwide).”<\/p>\n
